Our Vision is Operating System for all
In an era where the frontiers of innovation are public, and not private, the platforms for consuming that innovation should enable everyone to participate. That is the vision for open source software, which motivates us to develop an OS which is capable of creating a smooth interface using bare minimum legacy hardware which enables a wide diversity of open source communities to collaborate under the Open Source Software umbrella.
Viability:
In a third world country like India, we have great human resources to go ahead with full swing if our system is supported. We have a limited budget, so limited hardware to work on. So, it would be nice if I can run the latest softwares on a limited hardware platform. So, if we can get an OS which is FREE, runs on relatively low cost hardware systems as well as provides the latest security with Graphical User Interface.
OSUM is an answer to this.

Grand Opening Ceremony of OSUM Tomorrow at 7:30 PM
The OSUM operating system will be launched tomorrow, 15.08.2021 at 7:30 pm. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Saikat Maitra will inaugurate this online session.
